Terms & Conditions
Effective date: September 15, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms govern your use of the Web Archive Viewer browser extension and the website at webinternetarchive.com (together, the "Service"), operated by Ritwick Halder ("we", "us"). By installing the extension, visiting the website or creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Web Archive Viewer helps you find, open, compare and organise copies of web pages held by independent public web archives (for example the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, Archive.today, Arquivo.pt, Archive-It, the UK Web Archive, Trove, Common Crawl and Ghostarchive). We do not operate an archive, do not store archived pages, and have no control over the availability, accuracy or completeness of any archive's content. Free features remain free; Pro features are described on the Pricing page.
3. Accounts
Signing in with Google is optional and required only for Pro features and the cloud research library. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to create an account.
4. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service to overload, scrape or abuse the third-party archives it links to, or our API.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, plan limits or authentication.
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe the rights of others.
- Respect the terms of use of each archive you access through the Service.
5. Availability and Changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including which archives are supported. Archive data features depend on third-party services and may be unavailable without notice. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it.
6. Pricing and Payment Terms
Paid plans (Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly and Lifetime) are described on the Pricing page and in checkout. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the authorised reseller and merchant of record for your transaction; we do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at purchase unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You can cancel from your account page; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds, withdrawals and cancellations follow Paddle's Refund Policy, the Paddle Buyer Terms and Section 7 below.
- We may change prices with advance notice where required by law or contract.
7. Refund Policy
Consumer right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel this agreement and receive a refund within 14 days of the transaction without giving any reason. To meet the deadline it is sufficient to send us your request before the 14-day period expires.
Digital content
Pro features are digital content made available immediately. By using them you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the statutory right of withdrawal may lapse once performance has begun. We will nevertheless refund you if you cancel within 14 days, no questions asked.
Subscriptions
Cancel from your account page at any time, or contact us at support@webinternetarchive.com at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period. Cancellation takes effect at the next renewal date; there are no refunds for unused subscription periods after the 14-day window.
Paddle acts as the authorised reseller for purchases of software from software developers ("Suppliers"). Ritwick Halder is the Supplier of Web Archive Viewer for this purpose. Your refund, withdrawal, cancellation and billing rights are those in Paddle's Refund Policy and Buyer Terms (each as updated from time to time); if there is any inconsistency, the Paddle Buyer Terms apply. Nothing in this Section limits your mandatory consumer rights.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Archived content is produced and hosted by third parties; we make no warranty that any page is or is not archived, that a capture is complete or authentic, or that comparisons, extractions or reports produced by the Service are accurate. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for legal, financial or safety decisions.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, its name, logo and code are owned by us or our licensors. Archived pages remain the property of their respective rights holders and the archives that hold them. You may not copy, modify or redistribute the Service except as permitted by its open-source licence where one applies.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if you wish, asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or harms the Service or the archives it depends on. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of a third party's rights.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve disputes informally; otherwise the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules that apply to consumers in your region.
15. General
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any checkout terms are the entire agreement between you and us. If any provision is unenforceable the rest remains in effect. We may update these Terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
16. Contact
